Originally designed for military personnel on underwater missions , 24h watches helped sailors, as they were deprived of daylight, to orient themselves in time .
The Redoutable , the first French nuclear submarine, was said to be able to circumnavigate the Earth without ever coming to the surface. It is in this maritime universe that we drew our inspiration to found our Vasco brand.
Based in Bordeaux , a city with a naval and submariner past , our brand claims to have various origins: it is notably marked aesthetically by the Bauhaus school and its significant minimalism .
Vasco embeds a high quality Swiss heart (Ronda Swiss Made), a 316L stainless steel case , a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal , all highlighted by French bull leather straps and assembled in Besançon, France.
